Jetstar Airways is an Australian low-cost airline. Their headquarter is in Melbourne. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Qantas.


Jetstar fleet consist of the Airbus A320 family and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Jetstar fly not only on domestic flights in Australia, but also in New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Japan or Hawaii.


On flights, you have the option to take 2 hand luggage with you on board. One larger 56cm (height) x 36cm (width) x 23cm (depth) and one smaller for example bag for a notebook or camera. The maximum weight of both may not exceed 7kg. For higher classes it is then more kilograms. Regional New Zealand Q300 aircraft allows only 48cm (height) x 34cm (width) x 23cm (depth). Unfortunately, Jetstar does not offer checked baggage in the ticket price.

All sports equipments are considered as oversized and must adapt to checked baggage allowance and not exceed more than 32kg.

You can take your musical instruments on board if weigh less than 7kg, with a maximum size of 85 x 36 x 23cm. If it passes weight or dimensions, it will be taken as a checked baggage


The entertainment system is only on long flights and is offered for free. Aircraft for international flights have monitor in each seat.

Food at Jetstar is only for a fee.
